How Politics saves the Health System

As in other countries, the health care system in Germany is under pressure from staff shortages caused by poor working conditions and bad pay. Many intensive care beds cannot be occupied because there are not enough nursing staff available.

Politicians claim to be doing something about this and it is easy to create more positions when it is clear from the beginning that they cannot be filled. It is necessary to make nursing professions more attractive. That’s the only way to get more people into nursing.

At the moment, at any rate, the politicians’ measure plan looks … full of holes.

Side note: I pushed doing this image out for obvious reason. But in the end – summer would have been a better time to do it.
