Palatinate Forest seen from Castle Gräfenstein

These are some older images. I used a DIY lens which I built from a Leica-to-Fuji lens adapter the front element of a very old Sigma zoom lens and some cardboard and tape. This works surprisingly well, especially when stopped down (with some cardboard with round holes in different size that I stick at the front of the lens).

I made these four images while visiting my parents in the little village I grew up. Whenever I am there it is hard not to visit castle Gräfenstein. These are ruins of an old castle sitting over the village. The donjon of the castle is still intact and allows for a beautiful view over palatinate forest.
