This should be the last one of our trip to Paris. Of course we had to visit Notre Dame de Paris which is one of the nicest cathedrals I know – not that I know too many. It burnt in 2019 and was rebuilt with a huge effort. After the cathedral was freed from the soot of the fire – and centuries of candlelight it is much brighter. This adds a lot to the lightness of a gothic cathedral. So if you ever visit Paris, visit Notre Dame too. Don’t be put off by long queues or better visit the cathedral early in the morning. We didn’t even have to queue for 10 minutes.
