We decided to go to Pointe du Raz without really consulting the weather forecast. So we went and found out … rain, wind and fog. What nice conditions to have a look over the pond. At least I am pretty sure that we really found it. During our hike to Pointe du Raz we were not all the time sure if we will end up there.
In the end I think it was the right decision to go that day. Yes it was a very wet day, but the atmosphere was kind of magical. We enjoyed it a lot. What I found was: It is way simpler to swipe off water from the lens of an iPhone than it is from the lens of my X100F. I used both cameras, but this day I liked the images done with the iPhone and Hipstamatic more. Especially since they digital lith develop very well.
So here is my recommendation: If you want to have Pointe du Raz for you alone (or nearly for you alone) – go in the end of September and make sure there is no sunshine that day. Yes there were other people. But you almost could not see them. You might spot some people on one of the images below.
